Splikik is a freelance photographer specializing in architectural, floral and portrait photography. Splikik has been dabbling with photography from a tender age of 8. Her photographic journey was fraught with many difficulties, mainly due to her lack of monetary & photographic resources. She used to shoot mainly with disposable & toy cameras. After much deliberation, she decided to plunker down and invest in a DSLR 3 years ago. However, she is still on a tight budget and doing her best to maximize her minimal resources. She started off this blog shooting photos on a Casio S-100 (3.2MP) digital camera and edits them minimally on iPhoto. Today she uses a DSLR and Aperture to manage & edit her prints. Splikik shoots mainly with manual focus prime lenses and in natural light. She is also a die-hard Nikon fan…

hey i have the same camera as you! i got a Panasonic LX-2 but am still using the Casio as it’s really small and easy to bring around. In my photoblog, most of the shots taken in taiwan are from the casio.. (since i posted photos till november – exams soon so..)
the casio has served/is serving me well still, thou a bit cranky/noisy (as in the sound, not images). Flash takes forever to charge up too..

Hey Emily… Nice to hear that you’re using the same casio model… I’ve checked out your photoblog. Nice photos you have there! I have to agree with what you said about the casio ex-s100, the flash is painfully slow. You can mute the camera shutter sound actually…
I love your site. Keep it up !
I loved your photoblog. You have an excellent collection.
